4 hours discovering the mountains of Monchique. There will be a visit to the village with the same name.
Walking through the narrow cobbled little streets, we will head towards the 16th century church for a visit. Afterwards we will then visit a local distillery, where we can learn about the processes for making – Medronho (Local moonshine) and the artisanal extraction of honey. You will be invited to taste both of these local specialities.
Once finished you will be taken to a small and typical little shop where you will be able to experience the taste of the regional delicacies: sausages, cakes and liquors.
We will finish our tour at the highest point of the Algarve, Foia (908 mt) where you can enjoy, on a clear day, the most fantastic views of the region.

Starting at the popular market of Loulé City, we will then drive inland towards Querença and Alte, two beautiful white little villages worth a closer look specially at their ancient churches.
We will then stroll through the inner Algarve enjoying the beauty of its untouched landscapes until we reach Silves, the Moorish capital of the Algarve, where we will have a great lunch in a traditional restaurant.
After that, you will have free time to visit the 13th century Cathedral and the Old Castle. Finally, we’ll be heading towards one of the most famous wine cellars in the Algarve for a wine and tapas experience.
This tour begins at the old town of Faro, the capital of The Algarve, where we recommend a visit to the Chapel of Bones (entrance fee not included).
You will also be given sometime to stroll along the shopping area of Faro before we proceed to Olhão, where a visit to the traditional fish market is well worth it, as it is known one of the best within the Algarve region. It will then be at this a fisherman’s village that we will stop for lunch at one of the innumerous restaurants along the harbor. Lunch is not included in the tour price and therefore will be under clients’ responsibility.
After lunch, we will head inland towards Querença, a small beautiful white village and we will end up in Alte, the most Algarvian village, where you can enjoy the natural beauty of the village and its landscape.

From here, driving through orange fields and cork tree plantations, we will go to the mountains of Monchique and Foia, the highest point of the Algarve, where we will stop so that you can relish yourself with a rich typical Portuguese lunch while enjoying the stunning views.
We will then continue our tour visiting a “Medronho” handmade distillery and a honey production unit.
From this beautiful area, we will go to a wine cellar where you will have the opportunity to delight yourself with a wine tasting on a famous Portuguese wine and taste some typical Algarvian tapas.
Starting in Silves, the former capital of the Algarve, visiting the Moorish castle and the 13th century cathedral, we will then head to the mountains of Monchique and Foia, the highest point of the Algarve (902m) where you will enjoy the spectacular views.
A visit to a “Medronho” distillery and an artisanal honey production unit will be followed by mouthwatering lunch and then we will stroll down, glimpsing the cork trees and the orange trees plantations, to the city of the discoveries – Lagos, one of the oldest cities in the Algarve where we suggest a visit to the Golden Church of St. Anthony.
